6 Internet Marketing Myths

Every day thousands of people go online to make money but most of them fail miserably because they either truly believe one of the 6 Internet Marketing Myths or or all of them. You can read them below and discover the grain of salt in all of them.

Myth #1: Internet Marketing is EASY

This is probably the biggest myth of all, and let me tell you Internet marketing is hard, takes time, effort not mention money and anyone who suggests otherwise is trying to sell you a bunch of horse hockey. Granted that it's comparatively easier to brick and mortar in that there's no inventory to carry, no shipping of goods no sales staff and virtually no overhead, but a lot of work is still involved.

Myth #2: ANYONE Can Make Money Online

Folks, this is simply not true. Unless someone gets off their lazy boy recliner and download/read everything they can about internet marketing, and put an action plan in motion, they will never make a dime on the internet. DO NOTHING, MAKE NOTHING.

Myth #3: You Can "GET RICH QUICK" On the Net!

This is the trap that a lot of newbie internet marketers falls into including myself when I first started, why? because scammers make it sounds so easy and let me tell you, chasing "get rich quick scheme" is a WASTE OF TIME!, money and energy. It just won't happen overnight, instead do some research and find out what people really want and need then give it to them especially a sense of reality.

Myth #4: It's FREE to Do Business Online

This is one of my favorite myths because I believed it during my first year of internet marketing and it just wasn't true then, it isn't true today. Compared to opening your first coffee shop or gift shop in downtown Los Angeles, internet business start-up cost and maintenance cost is pretty low. Once you have your domain set up, you only pay for internet connection, advertising and ongoing educations, that's it. You can't expect to make money selling free stuff and ask others to do the same. Folks! it takes money to make money.

Myth #5: It's TOO LATE to Start an Internet Business

Most super affiliate marketers would love to hear people say "It's too late now, too many competitions, I should just pack my bags and go home, the internet is too complicated, etc...". You know why? the less people they have to compete with the better which in turn will make them more money.

The fact is, it's never ever too late to start anything and that includes internet business. I firmly believe that the internet is not going anywhere and you should too. Every year the stats will show you the number of people shoppingonline are increasing, their spending dollars are growing and the number of people going online is increasing also.

Myth #6: The BIG Money Talk is JUST HYPE

As I've told you before, "it takes money to make money?" Well it's true, although you will be hard pressed to find experienced internet marketers to tell how much they spend on promoting and advertising. Sometimes, you have to dig a little deeper to find the truth in every hype you read. It's a fact that the people that makes alot of money online also spends alot of money on advertising, tools, resources and know how to get the job done.

If you are willing to take the necessary action to make 'big money' happen for you - it will. It takes time. You can criticize, be skeptical and sure that 'big money' can't happen for you - and it won't. Sit down and write a financial and a sound business plan. Local Chamber of Commerce can give all the info you need to get started.

If you believe that you will succeed you're right, if you believe that it won't work, you're right also.

To summarize, you have heard people's story how they're making a fortune on the internet and how easy it is but the reality is some stories are NOT out of this world or unrealistic but it just doesn't happen overnight. You just have to apply a bit of common sense into it, find what you love to do, have a game plan, stay focus and you my friend might find the right opportunity to make all your dreams come true.

Major League Soccer - Then & Now

With its primary goal to be the worlds most competitive and prestigious soccer league, along with one of Americas premier sports and entertainment properties, Major League Soccer is a large part of worldwide soccer news and is making great strides toward accomplishing its objective. With 6 teams making up the Eastern Conference and an equal number featured in the Western Conference, Major League Soccer is going strong with 12 clubs in only its 11th season.

However, soccer news recalls that the league has made great achievements since its inception in 1993. Its inaugural season began in 1995 and soccer news stirred around the new formation of teams, event locations and new players. In 1996, soccer news reported the Leagues first player draft and spring training. As attendance continued to grow, ESPN began televising soccer news and popularity soared across the nation. During this year, more soccer news reports and members of the media began covering MLS events. Supporters turned out in large fashion to catch a glimpse of their favorite teams and players.

In 1998, Major League Soccer underwent its first expansion season, which meant big changes for the League. With the addition of two teams, which brought the club count from its original 10 to the 12, soccer news introduced the latest League members as Chicago and Miami. Both teams proved powerful during their first year as they advanced to the playoffs. The following year, in 1999, Columbus Crew Stadium officially opened as the first major league stadium in the United States that was constructed specifically for soccer. Its presence paid off as thousands of fans packed the house to watch featured competitions.

In 2002, Major League Soccer removed 2 of their 12 clubs from the roster and once again returned to 10 teams. Tampa Bay and Miami were no longer League teams, but were replaced in 2004 with other expansion teams. Real Salt Lake and Club Deportivo Chivas USA joined the League and brought the club number back up to its current 12 teams.

The clubs of Major League Soccer consist of both domestic and international competitors. With such a diverse roster, players are constantly being featured in soccer news magazines, soccer news televised programs and interviews.

The Revenge of the Red Hot Mouse

I was reading the local Idaho rag this morning and learned that a New Mexico man had caught a mouse in his house. He decided he wanted it dead so he took it outside and threw it in to a pile of leaves he was burning. Thats when the fun began.

The mouse took fire and immediately ran back into the house. He got into the intricacies of the house and spread the flame. The article said that the reporter talked to the man in a motel room. He said that no one was hurt but that he had lost his house and his furnishings.

Well, we mustnt have this happen again, must we?

This might be a good time to set up some rules for handling creatures that like to live with us in our houses during the wintertime.

Never try to poison a mouse.

We put one of those cute little yellow triangular boxes full of poison in a place where we knew our dog could never reach it. Somehow it got out from under a very low shelf beneath my work bench. My dog ate the stuff and he died a miserable death. My veterinarian son and two of his fellow vets could not save him.

My son has a zillion stories about horses, dogs, cats and other creatures being poisoned by usually safe-to-use farm and household poisons.

I think the mouse did not like my dog.

He carefully nudged the little box of poison out from underneath my workbench with his nose so that my dog could reach it. This leads to a corollary: Remember that critters are smarter than humans.

Put a metal grid over your chimney.

Yesterday our rag had a story about a barn owl that got stuck in a ladys chimney. It took a while, but one of her family members got the bird out. When released, it flew right back into the barn. Im sure its spending the day there.

Some year back in Colorado a bat flew down our chimney. Then with a little of my pestering, it flew around the living room scaring the heck out of everybody.

After all, rats carry rabies. (My son had to take shots for rabies once after being bitten by a dog. In those days, the shots were given with a horse needle in the stomach. No fun!)

Anyway, I finally caught the bat in a cloth and took it outside. It took off like a bat. I think it headed south for Carlsbad Caverns.

Never try to get a skunk out from under your house with a long stick.

Its best to call a professional in this case. I guess that would be the fire department where I live. Have you heard of a HAVAHART trap? They are handy for catching rabbits, raccoons, and other critters. You can read about how to use them at http://www.havahart.com/nuisance/_old_nuisance/troubleshooting.htm.

These two tips might keep you from getting sprayed: If you want to trap your skunk get a small trap (1078 and 1088) so that it can not raise its tail. Use for bait Chicken entrails, cracknels, fish-canned (sardines) or fresh-insect larvae such as may beetles, crisp bacon, cat food, bread crust coated with peanut butter. Place a blanket over the trap after the skunk has taken the bait and the trap doors are locked.

If you do get sprayed, the old remedy is tomato juice. Would you rather smell like skunk or the juice? Havahart has remedies which include tomato juice (http://www.havahart.com/nuisance/_old_skunks/skunk_solutions.htm). Skunk squirt is alkaline so acidic liquids like tomato juice and vinegar help.

So whats next if you have a skunk in a trap under a blanket? Call the Humane Society. They just love to get rid of animals.

Well, Im exhausted from the technology of this article. Well cover bears, wolves, and coyotes later.

Better to Be Safe Than Sorry

Many documents in your possession may either be impossible to replace, or extremely difficult to replace, should the need arise. A safe-deposit box or a fireproof box is the perfect solution to storing these types of documents. You will need to determine whether or not you want the document stored on-site at your home, or off-site at your bank.

Items that Should Not be Placed in a Safe Deposit Box
Anything you would need in an emergency
Will
Living Will / Medical Directives
Funeral or burial instructions in case you need them over the weekend
Power of Attorney Originals
Passports in case you need to take a sudden trip outside the country

Insuring Contents of a Safe Deposit Box

Be sure to read the contract for your safe deposit box carefully. Banks do not insure the contents of what you put in the box. Fire, floods and theft are very rare at banks, but it does happen. Most banks will only be liable if you can prove that they were negligent and failed to use reasonable care to prevent a loss. If you are concerned about this, you should check with your insurance agent to find out if you need additional coverage for items placed off-site that may not be fully covered under your homeowners or renters insurance policy. Items typically placed in a safe deposit box that you would want insured may be; jewelry, coins and stamps. If you are storing checks or cash in your safe deposit box, you also will not be covered under the FDIC since you have not deposited them directly into your account.

Items to store in a Safe Deposit Box or Fire Proof SafeThe following list is intended to be a reference for you. It may not be a complete list of the documents or articles in your possession that you need to protect in a secure environment. You may wish to store all of your items at home in a fire proof box, or you may desire to store them off-site in a safe deposit box. You might determine that the best solution for your needs is to have a combination of both storing some of the most important and most difficult documents to replace in a safe deposit box and the rest in a fire proof box in your home. The solution you choose to store these important items is for you to decide, but which ever solution you select, be sure to follow through and take the steps needed to store these important documents. You will thank yourself later when you are looking for these documents, or heaven forbid should there be a fire or flood in your home.

Accessing your Safe Deposit Box in case of an Emergency

In case of an emergency, you will want to know in advance who will be able to have access to your safe deposit box. Different states have different laws on who can access the box when you die. Some states make it easy for a family member or the executor of the estate to access the box, while other states require a court order to remove the will, which will take time and money. You can rent the safe deposit box jointly with a spouse, child, or someone else that would have unrestricted access to the box. They will however need to sign the rent agreement as well. If you die however, in some states there still may be delays for the co-renter of the box to be able to access the contents. Giving someone a key to your safe deposit box, does not give them permission to access the box, rather their name needs to be on the contract with the bank.

Create an Itemized List of Contents

The final steps to organizing your important papers and valuable items is to be sure to create an itemized list of those items that you are storing in either the safe deposit box, fireproof box or both. Be sure that you list the location of each item and the date that it was stored. Periodically, review the contents to see if you need to update any of the items that are being stored, such as new banking or credit card information. If you have a safe deposit box, take the itemized list with you and update it with you while you are there.

Hoodia Gordonii Succulent - Miracle Pills?

In the 21st century, an ever growing number of men and women (and an astonishing number of children) have found themselves confronting weight problems. There are more obese people in many countries around the world at this point in time than at any other point in history. As a result, a significant number of people find themselves on the hunt for a miracle program through which they can lose weight with little effort. In other words, these people are seeking diet supplements that perform like miracle pills.

Before a specific discussion is had regarding the prospect of diet supplements in the form of miracle weight loss pills, it is important to remember a couple of factors. First, if you are interested in initiating any sort of diet program, you need to consult with your doctor before beginning any weight loss regimen. Your doctor can assist you in determining what sort of diet plan will best serve your needs and will best promote your own good health.

Second, if you are interested in crafting an effective weight loss and dieting program, you need to understand that in order to lose weight in a healthy manner and keep the weight off into the future, you must eat a balanced diet. In addition to a balanced diet, an effective weight loss or dieting regimen requires that a person engage in regular exercise that includes aerobic, stretching and strength building elements.

Diet supplements, when incorporated into a balanced diet regimen and a responsible workout program, can be very beneficial. However, when all is said and done, there is no such product as a miracle pill. Indeed, when it comes to seeking and effective and beneficial diet supplement, you must be very circumspect of products that make outlandish claims. Of course, there are some diet supplements that can aid in helping a person lose weight fast. However, fast weight loss is not always the best course. In fact, more often than not, fast weight loss is detrimental, not only to a persons health but to his or her overall dieting program.

While a person might be pleased with fast weight loss, studies demonstrate and prove that in most cases when a person undertakes a fast weight loss, the lost weight normally does not stay off for the long term. Rather, people in such circumstances end up putting the weight back on in the not too distant future -- and, in many, many cases, these people end up weighing more than when the initially started their dieting regimen.

Several years ago, there was some thought that the closest thing to a miracle weight loss pill had been found. Scientists at Pfizer (the worlds leading pharmaceutical company) began work on a diet pill that included hoodia and an hoodia extract known as P57. Hoodia is a plant that is indigenous to the desert region of Southern Africa. For thousands of years, Bushmen in the region chewed hoodia as an appetite suppressant and source of energy when they were on the hunt.

In recent years, researchers have concluded that a person using the hoodia extract P57 could lower their caloric intake by 1,000 calories a day with no adverse effects.

Keeping Cool in Arizona

If you plan to move to Arizona, there are a couple of items you need to know first. If you have yet to buy a home in Arizona, then be sure to look for the following things: central air conditioner and swimming pool. DO NOT SETTLE FOR A SWAMP COOLER. Buying Arizona Real Estate requires a survival mindset.

If you have bought a home in Arizona that is in either of the largely populated valleys, you must not assume that because people live there it can't be that bad. It is that bad without the proper equipment. If you are moving to Arizona from a dissimilar climate, you must prepare to pay extra for you cooling. It is absolutely not survivable for a person from a cooler climate without central cooling and lots of it. Swamp coolers may do in some environments, but in Arizona they will just add a layer of humidity on top of the unbearably hot temperature. This is like two-ply toilet paper, there are some things you just don't even cut corners on.

The swimming pool is essential as well. In cooler climates like Colorado Springs, Salt Lake City, or even San Diego, a pool is an extra, a luxury, a want. In Arizona, it is a requirement. On some days during the Arizona summers, it gets so hot that you feel incapable of cooling down with Air Conditioning, a freezing cold drink of water, or even a cold shower (cold showers really don't exist in Arizona's summers). The only way you are getting cool is by jumping in a swimming pool. Sound silly to people who never lived in Arizona before, but those who have, are nodding and saying "of course, why did he write an article on this?"
